About the Author
Rick Piché has taught guitar at Saunders Secondary School in London, Ontario for over 25 years. During that time, thousands of students have passed through his guitar room. Under Mr. Piché's direction, the Saunders Senior Guitar Ensemble has performed in London, St. Thomas, Sarnia, Toronto, Chicago, Montreal, New York, Boston, Holland and Germany. They have performed with Stepan Rak (Czech Republic), The Trio de Cologne (Germany), The Kubica /van Berkel Guitar Duo, Philip Candelaria, The Canadian Guitar Quartet and many other prominent guitarists. Mr. Piché is also a part time guitar instructor with the Faculty of Music and The Faculty of Education at The University Of Western Ontario. As a student of the guitar, Rick Piché studied classical guitar with Eli Kassner. As a performer and recording artist, Mr. Piché has released three solo recordings: "RICK PICHÉ" in 1981; "STATUE" in 1986; and "RICK PICHÉ THREE" in 1990. In 2000, Mr. Piché recorded a Celtic CD with his family. The recording is appropriately called "THE PICHÉ FAMILY".
