Akeem and Semmi are back!

Thirty years after he left Zamunda for New York, Prince Akeem (Eddie Murphy) has ascended to the monarchy... and while happily married to true love Lisa (Shari Headley), they've produced no requisite male heir.

It's discovered, though, that a drugged fling in the day with Queens native Mary (Leslie Jones) resulted in son Lavelle (Jermaine Fowler)-whom Akeem must now import and give a crash course in royalty.

Set in the lush and royal country of Zamunda, newly-crowned King Akeem (Eddie Murphy) and his trusted confidante Semmi (Arsenio Hall) embark on an all-new hilarious adventure that has them traversing the globe from their great African nation to the borough of Queens, New York - where it all began.
