She has a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and a Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction. She is a wife and a mother of two. She began writing when she was 28 years old. She began her writing after her son told her she should write stories about the tickle monster that came to visit him. Her goal is to have a series of books with Gilmore T. Monster as the main character. The characters in the book are her two children and seven nieces and nephews.
