About the Author
Born in South Africa, Gavin Hardkiss is a DJ/music producer/writer now based in San Francisco. Hardkiss helped pioneer the Amercan electronic dance scene in the '90s with the groundbreaking record label Hardkiss Music. He quickly joined the ranks of the International DJ elite, jetting to raves and clubs around the world to perform his eclectic sounds. His most memorable DJ gigs have been in an abandoned whaling stations near Valparaiso Chile and a surrealist nightclub near Salvador Dali's home in Port Lligat Spain. He has remixed the likes of Mazzy Star, Elton John and Yousou N'Dour, performed alongside Snoop Dogg and The Buena Vista Social Club and released original recordings in Spain, France, Italy, the United Kingdom and the United States. His music has been featured on countless compilations, TV ads as well as in episodes of Sex in the City and CSI: Miami.
