McMurry, Enfys: - Enfys McMurry is a native of Wales and a thirty-five-year citizen of the US. She was educated at the University of London, the University of Arizona, and Truman State University. She's taken courses at Iowa State and the University of Iowa's Writer's Workshop.For seven years she taught in London, England, but for twenty-three years was an English instructor at Indian Hills Community College, Centerville Campus.She has had articles published in Wales' Western Mail; in the US in The Des Moines Register, The Christian Science Monitor, The San Francisco Examiner, Architectural Digest, as well as Centerville's Iowegian.She is the author of Hearst's Other Castle and appeared on a BBC Television program on St. Donat's Castle, one of William Randolph Hearst's homes, on the coast of Wales.Her book, Centerville: A Mid-American Saga, was published in 2013. It was ten years of research that culminated in a comprehensive history. "Centerville's history is a microcosm of American history and Enfys has captured it in this magnificent book," per the Appanoose County Historical & Coal Mining Museum website.
