About the Author
Aida Ahadiany (1978), Iranian short story writer and blogger. She published her first short story collection book, Shahr-e Barik (Narrow City) in 2009 to great acclaim. Narrow City is a collection of 18 short stories with illustrations by the internationally recognized cartoonist Touka Neyestani. These stories draw on her own experience as an immigrant Iranian woman in Canada. Her unique sense of humour has been the focal point of these stories. Narrow City was published in Toronto but the electronic version of Narrow City has been widely downloaded in her homeland. Her second book "Dr. Brian climbs up the chimney" is a collection of ten short stories with the same theme of the previous book, life of women, this time mother also, outsides her country.
