About the Author Matilda Faltyn is a technical writer in the information technology industry with a BA (Communication) from the University of Technology, Sydney, majored in Journalism. She also has a graduate diploma in information design. Despite her Catholic upbringing, she was always curious to know more. As an agnostic in her adult years, she found herself studying spiritual theory with the Gnostic Institute of Anthropology and practised with the Gnostic Movement for a total of six years. Even though both organisations are denounced as cults, she used discernment to sift out the gems of truth from the glass. By fate, she then paired with a fellow spiritual seeker for another four years to do comparative research and cross-validation. She has studied works by a variety of spiritual authors. Because she battled negativity for most of her young adult life, she was driven to learn about the nature of ego in a hands-on way. She found experiential evidence that there is a higher self (soul) and a lower self (ego) in consciousness. Her personal experiences and revelations over a ten year period, inspired her to write this book.
