Rider Waite Smith's classic tarot (1909) is the iconic deck for those interested in the occult and mysticism. With exquisite imagery and spiritually elevated guidance on its meaning, the collaboration between Arthur Edward Waite and Pamela Colman Smith opened up a world of symbolism that has helped tarot readers to divine hidden truths about themselves and others for over a century. This abridged edition digs deeper into the meanings Waite believed were expressed in Smith's card art. This beautifully designed new deck allows you to enjoy the classic cards with a new back and a simple reference book on how Arthur Waite believed the tarot should be read.

About the Author
Arthur Edward Waite (1857 - 1942) was a mystic whose writings focused on the occult. He was the designer and co-creator of the world's most popular tarot deck, the Rider Waite Smith. The book that accompanied Pamela Colman Smith's famous work, offered spiritual and esoteric guidance and explained how to use tarot cards. Pamela Colman Smith (1878-1951) was a British artist, illustrator, writer and occultist. She is best known for illustrating the Rider-Waite-Smith in collaboration with Arthur Waite. Her contribution to the deck was little recognised and her name was omitted from most editions. Today her talent is increasingly recognised and she is fighting to get her name back on the project.
