Telechron and General Electric pioneered the application of machine age, art deco styling to clock designs, starting with the Paul Frankl designed Modernique. About the Author
Jim Linz has been researching and collecting art deco for over 25 years. His first book, Art Deco Chrome*, was released in 1999. A graduate of Emory University, he is Publications Director for the Art Deco Society of Washington and a member of the National Association of Watch and Clock Collectors and the National Trust for Historic Preservation.
