About the Author
Wendy Shepherd and Ken Hershenson are best friends, and - like Ernie - were born in Detroit, Michigan. They met in high school and reconnected JUST in time to join Ernie on his adventures. Wendy is a professional speaker, former early education teacher/director, writer, mom, and has been a sock monkey maker since she was 16. She created Ernie for her daughter over a quarter of a century ago. Ken works in design and technology for an international company and is an artist in his spare time, hoping to some day pursue this passion full time. Ken enjoys sharing drawing with children, because nothing is more fun than hunkering down with a bin full of crayons with little ones, listening to their stories while they color. The trio lives in Seattle, Washington, but consider Detroit, Michigan, home. Ernie, Wendy and Ken love baseball - especially the Detroit Tigers!
