Finding My Road

Finding My Road is the story of Ino Cantu. This wiry, Hispanic high school athlete was offered a scholarship to run track for a small, two-year college in Victoria, Texas. Here he was, this skinny boy, the product of two generations of sharecroppers. Little did he know this event would open many previously locked doors. With faith instilled in him from his mother and his own positive belief system, the sky was his limit. The real story is how he maneuvered around life's many roadblocks to become an All-American and finish eleventh in the NCAA National Cross Country Championships.

About the Author
Ino Cantu is a prolific masters runner. His specialty has always been the mile. He had been setting records in his age group in the mile, 800 meters, half-marathon for about for over forty years. He holds national and world records in several of these events. His unique talent, the gift of speed has carried him all over America. Many years ago he established two running events in El Campo and Richmond, Texas to share his knowledge and encourage young adults to participate. Ino has always volunteered at local Greater Houston running events, giving back to the community. This is Ino's first and only biography. Thomas (Tom) Woltz, Senior began his running career in high school in north Louisiana. He was a miler at first; branching out since arriving in Houston, Texas to the 5k, 10k, 1/2 marathons and the marathon distance. Until recently he placed in the top three to five positions in each event. Tom has qualified and run the 1983 and 1996 Boston Marathons.His interest in writing began as he turned sixty in 2007. Although he has written many poems and several short stories, this is his only publication. He has plans to write fiction and possible get a group of his best poems in print.
