This Faction (fact and fiction) on Orlando Camilla(o) Hanks, aka: Charley Jones; Charley Kincade; Deaf Charley evolved from a Hanks reunion in the 1990s--the first since the Civil War--and an article by a cousin. It intrigued me that we had a semi-infamous outlaw in the family who never came to the forefront in history like Jesse James, Billie the Kid, Tom Ketchum, Butch Cassidy, etc.--and so the tale of a generational circumstance was started; the story weaving fact with fiction and transitioning O.C.'s life.
