Eaglstein, William H.: - William H. Eaglstein, MD has had a varied career inthe health sciences. He was a US Navy doctor, Professor, and Chairman of two medical school dermatologydepartments at the Universities of Pittsburgh andMiami. He spent time as a Robert Wood JohnsonFoundation Health Policy Fellow in Washington, DC, and as a research doctor in the Nagoya City UniversityMedical School in Japan.He has served as chairman of a Food and Drug Administration advisorypanel and on an advisory panel to the National Institutes of Health. Hisexperience in industry includes Vice President of Stiefel a GSK company.Dr. Eaglstein received Lifetime Achievement Awards from the WorldUnion of Wound Healing Societies and the Symposium on AdvancedWound Care/Wound Healing Society, as well as Honorary Membershipin the American Academy of Dermatology and the Citation of Merit fromthe University of Missouri School of Medicine.He is currently Emeritus Chairman and Professor, University of Miami, as well as a voluntary advisor in the StanfordUniversity SPARK program.Dr. Eaglstein lives with his wife, Janet, in LosAltos, California, where he pursues his interestsin wound healing, drug development, regulatoryaffairs, contemporary art, and bicycling.
