In the angst space between Fun Dip and sexuality, a girl becomes a woman. Danielle Valenilla's poetry delves into the unspoken dialogues of girlhood and explores the taboo experiences that delay womanhood because we "tell ourselves the untruths" ("Boy Men Serve Pepsi"). This debut collection of poems know no boundaries and will dare to ache with you.The reader advisory warning references mature language and sexually explicit content, at times related to sexual violence (activation alert).

About the Author
Danielle Valenilla is an educator by day and writer by night. Her work has been accepted by The Polk Street Review, Poetry in Motion Publishing, and Cambridge Scholars Publishing. As a volunteer for the V-Day International movement, she has performed in The Vagina Monologues as a yearly venture and helped found the V-Day movement in Noblesville, Indiana. These experiences have informed her literary works and continue to remind her of the power of empathy and the universal struggle of women.
