Gregory Crane was born in 1951 in Bremerton, WA. He received his Bachelors of Fine Arts in 1975 from the University of Utah, Salt Lake City. After completion of his degree, Crane enrolled at The Art Students League in New York City; studying there from 1976 - 1980. After his time at the League, Gregory continued to reside New York City, eventually settling in the Park Slope neighborhood of Brooklyn, NY. Gregory Crane is known for his paintings and works on paper that represent his colorist mastery, keen observation, composition, and draftsmanship.
