About the Author
Emma was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis in 2006, Crohn's disease in 2007, and eventually given the ultimate diagnosis of indeterminate colitis. Though, at times, inflammatory bowel disease seemed to get the best of her, Emma never gave up hope that life would get better. Emma is on a constant path to peacefully coexist with her illness and to heal herself through talking openly about her experiences, laughing, yoga, prayer, eating well, and loving herself. Emma is a graduate of the United States Naval Academy and the Institute for Integrative Nutrition. She is an Intelligence Officer turned Holistic Health Coach and Chronic Wellness Mentor. Emma resides in the state of Washington with her husband and two children.
