About the Author
When asked to describe herself in one sentence, Nikki Hanna said, "I'm a metropolitan gal who never quite reached the level of sophistication and refinement that label implies." The contradictions reflected in this description are the basis of her humorous prose. She has a BS Degree in Business Education and Journalism and an MBA from The University of Tulsa. A retired CPA and Toastmaster, Hanna has years of experience in management and as an executive for one of the country's largest companies. She also served as a consultant on national industry task forces, as a board member for corporations, and as an advisor on curriculum development and strategic planning for educational institutions and charity organizations. Hanna describes her writing as humorous prose with strong messages. As an author, teacher, and speaker, she is dedicated to inspiring others and offers workshops and presentations on aging, writing, leadership, women's issues, and her books. Red Heels and Smokin' and Out of Iowa-Into Oklahoma are the basis of programs guaranteed to entertain. Leadership Savvy includes fresh and powerful strategies for both seasoned and aspiring leaders. Capture Life demonstrates how anyone can bestow the forever gift of legacy by sharing life stories. Beyond Aging Well reveals how to construct an aging experience that creates a "forever gift." Hanna's speech and workshop on Why You Write is ideal for writers' conferences and events. In addition to numerous awards for her poetry, essays, and short stories, Hanna is the recipient of the Oklahoma Writers' Federation's Cr?me de la Cr?me Award, Rose State College's Outstanding Writer Award, and The National Indie Excellence Book Award.
