About the Author
Victor Avila is an award-winning poet, a songwriter, and illustrator. Two of his poems were included in the anthology Occupy SF-Poems from the Movement. His songs have been covered by several artists and have been heard on television. Roots-rock hero Dave Alvin has referred to him as the "Real King of California." Victor is a frequent contributor of Ghoula Comix, and has taught in California public schools for over twenty years.
