A visual history of the founding, construction and early days of Honey Hollow Camp, a U.S. National Historic Landmark located 1800 feet up the northwestern slope of Camel's Hump Mountain in Bolton, Vermont. Nestled in the verdant glacial valley of Honey Hollow, it is known for its iconic red-roofed cabin and breathtaking views of the surrounding 21,000 unspoiled acres of Camel's Hump State Park. Established in 1941 by Carl Wurm Jr. to be a wartime sanctuary in the event his family needed to flee New York City due to Nazi attack or invasion, it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1994 to acknowledge its overall architectural merit and historic cultural significance in the context of World War II.
