About the Author
In the twilight of my years I realize I had missed my calling. I always wanted to write but never gave it the required time it needs. Because in my youth like many of you, I was too busy trying to make a living. The lyrics in one of Mr. Frank Sinatra's hit songs pretty much sums up my background: "I've been a puppet, a pauper, a pirate, a poet, a pawn and a king. I've been up and down and over and out but I know one thing: Each time I find myself flat on my face, I pick myself up and get back in the race. That's life, I can't deny it, I thought of quitting, but my heart just won't buy it. Cause if I didn't think it was worth a try, I'd have to roll myself up in a big ball and die". I should have been writing and authoring books all my life because I enjoy it so much. If I had it in my power to speak to all who may be in my age group I would say to them don't ever give up your dreams, it's never too late. If I had it in my power to speak to everyone else I would say to them, dreams really do come true. I have written nine books in various genres, three are cookbooks one of which is titled "The Way It Was" An Italian recipe cookbook that's different than most because along with delicious hard to find recipes it tells the story of how life was really like growing up in the big city "South Philadelphia". "EZ Italian Cooking" and "EZ Seafood Cooking" are two other titles. "How-To Make a Fortune in The Cleaning Business" is another (yes, I was also in the cleaning business), "Dante's Dream" one of my favorites which is a fairy-Tale that I am sure someday will make it to a Hollywood film production company. Let's not forget "Forces of The Mind" a book everyone should read because it proves that anyone can accomplish anything if you truly believe that you can.
