Immaculate Perceptions

Immaculate Perceptions is a powerful collection of poetic illustrations etched by a prolific spirit. While reviewers have compared Faison's poetry to writing by such literary icons as Richard Wright, Langston Hughes, Maya Angelou, and other prolific writers, readers refer to her as dynamic, soulful, inspirational, bold, and in touch with every emotion. Immaculate Perceptions explores the Black experience, the experiences of being a woman, and the experience of a soul having struggled and triumphed through adversity. Faison writes poetically on issues of love, religion, and socioeconomics throughout the book. Her passion is evident in each poem. Readers will find her tone inspirational and the voice of each poem liberating and refreshing. This is a must read for every poetry reader!
