About the Author
Atkinson, Steve: - Steve Atkinson was born in Minneapolis and has lived there for most of his life. After returning from Vietnam in 1970, he enrolled in the Graduate School at the University of Minnesota on the GI Bill, earning an MA in English and History, and an MBA in Accounting. He retired in 2009 after a career in financial services, a welcome change that has allowed him to devote more attention to his first loves of reading and writing. He and Bev, his wife of 46 years, also spend time on such favorite activities as traveling and volunteering, but they agree that the best job of all is grandparenting. They live in Minneapolis within a mile of their son and his family.
