About the Author
Maggie St. Thomas, a multi-faceted West Coast artist hailing from Long Beach, CA, has fearlessly captured the essence of the Los Angeles Anarchy punk and goth music scenes with her 35mm film cameras as a published journalist since the age of fourteen. In 1995, Maggie had the privilege of photographing her all-time favorites, The Ramones, during their concert at the KROQ Weenie Roast. Her talent and deep connection to the band earned praise from Arturo Vega, legendary RAMONES Creative Director, who commended her understanding of punk music and her ability to capture the band's spirit.

Since the early 90s, Maggie's photographic and journalistic works have graced the pages and covers of over 300 print publications, including Billboard and Rolling Stone, and she's featured on the covers of OC Weekly and High Times. Her career has allowed her to collaborate closely with legendary artists like Etta James, Lemmy Kilmister, Bo Diddley, Snoop Dogg, and more, showcasing her timeless finesse behind the lens.

In a remarkable twist, Maggie has ventured beyond photography to establish a career in Death Care as a licensed Crematory Operator, guiding those who transition from the realm of the living into the afterlife.

Maggie's literary journey began in 2022 with her debut book, "Still Life: The Photographs of Maggie St. Thomas," featuring a foreword by Exene Cervenka and four decades of near-death experiences behind the lens. In 2023, her creativity blossomed further with "Underwater Girl," a heartwarming children's tale illustrated by Christie Shinn. Simultaneously, her third book, 'In Print: The Articles of Maggie St. Thomas 2018-2023, ' was released, offering readers a unique perspective on her journalistic and photographic adventures.

Join Maggie in celebrating her literary achievements at a book signing and release party at Barnes & Noble on November 11th.
