The art of communicating ideas is essential to human progress. From Isaac Newton to Alexander Graham Bell to Leonardo de Pisa (the most important person you've probably never heard of) the ability to communicate has always been critical to allow great minds to generate new ideas and make a difference in the world. But it's an ability that most Geeks fail miserably at developing. It's All Geek To Me offers practical insight into why this is so, and how it can be corrected. It explores the challenges specifically faced by Geeks living in a non-Geek world and their root causes. And it offers practical advice on how to overcome these difficulties to excel as an effective communicator. Unlike other books on communication, It's All Geek To Me is written for Geeks, by a Geek, drawing on the author's years of experience explaining complex ideas in simple ways.

About the Author
Paul LaPointe is an IT geek with a gift to speak. He's played a variety of roles in the high tech industry from programmer and database administrator to technical sales lead. Paul has spent years explaining complex technical ideas in simple ways to a variety of audiences. In 2005, he was part of a motley crew of geeks that founded the innovative start-up xkoto. During that time, Paul worked with the best and brightest at IBM and Microsoft to deliver customer solutions based on xkoto's patented technology. Paul helped develop the technical sales approach that helped xkoto successfully exit after a five year journey to become part of Teradata Labs, where Paul currently works as Engineering Solution Architect, bridging the gap between consulting and engineering.
