The focus of the book is to present a collection of Jay's iconic images of Garcia from 1978 until Garcia's death in 1995. The book will include photographs of Garcia with members of the Grateful Dead as well as guest musicians and solo projects Jerry worked on. Blakesberg, Jay: - Jay Blakesberg is a San Francisco based photographer who has published 13 coffee table books of his music photography. He has been photographing the Grateful Dead experience for 41 years. He continues to regularly work with original Grateful Dead members on their assorted projects.Mayer, John: - John Mayer is a Grammy winning American singer songwriter who currently tours as a solo artist as well as lead guitarist in the current incarnation of the Grateful Dead called Dead & Company.Gans, David: - David Gans is an Oakland, Ca. based musician, writer, and radio host. Frequently touring as an innovative one man band, he can be found playing Grateful Dead themed festivals and concerts around the country. He has written several books about the Grateful Dead, and currently hosts a weekly "call in radio show" on the Sirius XM Grateful Dead Channel called "Tales From The Golden Road".
