About the Author
After obtaining a master's in Chemical Engineering from the University of Michigan, Dhirajlal Gami worked for three years researching in the U.S., after which he returned to India. There, he worked at the Department of Atomic Energy on the design of India's first nuclear reactor and project planning and execution of a fertilizer cum heavy water complex. He then joined Gujarat State Fertilizers & Chemicals, Ltd. and was the company's CEO for the past six years, until his retirement. Over the last 25 years, Mr. Gami has provided consultancy on investments to many large and medium size companies in the fields of fertilizers, petrochemicals, and power plants. He has also been Chairman/Director of many companies in the fields of fertilizers, petrochemicals, organic chemicals, synthetic textile, finance, and hospitality. Mr. Gami has chaired and addressed several seminars and contributed papers to several magazines. He also co-authored a technical book published by McGraw Hill in 1959.
