In 1871, pirates roam the South Seas, mystics hide in shape-shifting caves, and the crew members of the Libert are very, very far from home. Almost 150 years far, to be slightly more precise, and their only hope of returning to their own time hinges on an invisible wizard ... dwelling somewhere on a mountaintop in China ... who may or may not hold the secrets to time travel. So, yeah. It's complicated.

Also, do witches and wizards even get along? It's a tricky question, and one that Liberty Frye--a newbie witch with decidedly unpredictable powers--isn't eager to sort out. It could get awkward. But that's a risk she'll take in order for Uncle Frank and her friends to get back home. Success is anything but certain.

After all, things tend to go awry when Libby is around ....

About the Author
McCreedy, J. L.: - J.L. McCreedy is a shoe-string traveler, street food fanatic and (reformed) attorney who prefers writing stories over legal briefs. She developed an incurable condition of wanderlust while growing up in Southeast Asia as the child of missionaries, and has been exploring the globe ever since. She's the author of the Liberty Frye series and The Orphan of Torundi, and writes about travel, cycling and living in other cultures at TongaTime.com. She currently lives in a creaky old house in the White Mountains of New Hampshire with her husband, an assortment of visiting ladybugs, and perhaps a ghost or two.
