Have you ever been lying in bed, unable to sleep and remembered a story from your past that caused you to break out in laughter? The more you try to stifle it so you don't wake your mate, the more the bed shakes. How about in church? Remember Mary Tyler Moore and the clown funeral? Well, it's those stories that I tried to collect and put into this book. I have a few of my own, but I needed more so I sent out a request to family and friends that I knew had a good sense of humor. My hope is that you find them as entertaining as I do. You will notice as you work your way through this book, that many of the stories pertain to stupid things that people do sometimes... Lord knows there's a great supply of that to go around. But nothing gets a good laugh as quickly as potty humor. Take for example that cover picture of my son sitting on a rental horse waiting for his ride to begin. It was just a matter of good timing that I had a camera in my hand at the time. My apologies in advance if you are offended by such things...maybe it would be better that you put the book down now before you get too far. Every one of the stories is absolutely true, so please don't be too offended if some of them make you blush. Just have a chuckle and move on.

About the Author
Gary Oberts is not someone you would invite to a party to light up a room. In fact, at a party you will most often find him in a corner just watching people and taking mental notes on how funny they can be. Gary grew up in Rockford Illinois in a typical suburban, middle class setting. He attended Catholic school through 10th grade and therein obtained a tremendous amount of material for books like this. He then went on to college at Northern Illinois University and majored in geology. College life during the late 1960s-early 1970s was a real trip, which is why he doesn't remember much of it and hence has essentially nothing from those years in this book. He did, however, work in a paint factory during those years to support his learning habit. Those factory years provided him with a wealth of material, some of which you will see here, maybe some a little later. In 1971 Gary met the love of his life, Kristin, whom he married in a little over a year. Their life together has generated many laughable moments, but those of you who are married know that discretion is the lifeblood of marriage, so again, you won't find many stories about the married life here...yet. After college, Gary and Kristin moved to Connecticut and then on to Wisconsin for both work and college. Eventually, they settled in Minnesota where Gary continued his career in water resources (hydrology) and Kristin in information management. They raised two kids (lots of stories you will see them) and spent about 35 years in the tundra. Coming to their senses in 2008, they took early retirements and moved to Tustin California where they have lived happily ever after.
