About the Author
Known by many as the 'Listening Doctor', Rick Bommelje calls himself 'The Listening Student'. He has spent over 25 years helping leaders become more successful through the Power of Listening. He is a Professor in the Department of Communication at Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida and teaches courses on listening and leadership. The Princeton Review selected him as one of the top 300 college professors in the nation. With a Master's Degree in Management and a Doctorate in Administration, and advanced leadership study at Harvard University and Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management, he specializes in the development of listening and leadership. Rick is Past President of the International Listening Association and was inducted into the Listening Hall of Fame. He co-authored the pioneering book, Listening Leaders and his latest book is titled Listening Pays: Achieve Significance through the Power of Listening.
