About the Author
Ila grew up in the area she writes about. She is a "salt water lady" and proud of her heritage and roots. Although it has been many years since she lived in coastal eastern North Carolina, it will always be "home" to her. She also spent many years in Florida, and lived abroad for a year. Her husband, John, is retired and a native of Arkansas and they now live in the north central part of his home state. They have children, grandchildren and great grandchildren to round out their lives.
