While serving six years in the New York State prison system, Miquel A. Powell used poetry to reflect on the love, pain, and pleasure surrounding his troublesome life. His poetry is considered to be the best work of poetic literature we have seen in a long time. No one is able to express their feelings on such controversial topics as sex, prison, and love in the same fashion as Mr. Powell. He simply has a unique gift.
