The Hematoi descend from the union between gods and mortals, and the children of two Hematoi (pure blood) have divine powers. The children of a Hematoi and a mortal... well, not so much. The half-bloods have only two options: become disturbing Sentinels that hunt and kill daimons or become servants in the houses of the purebloods.
