About the Author
de Guchteneire, Paul: - Paul de Guchteneire is head of the Programme on International Migration and Multicultural Policies at UNESCO and director of the Diversities journal. He has worked as an epidemiologist at the Netherlands Cancer Research Foundation and is a past director of the Steinmetz Institute of the Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences and a former president of the International Federation of Data Organizations. His current research focuses on the human rights dimension of international migration and the development of policies for migration management at the international level. His publications include Democracy and Human Rights in Multicultural Societies (2007), Migration without Borders: Essays on the Free Movement of People (2007), Migration and Human Rights: The United Nations Convention on Migrant Workers' Rights (2009), as well as several works on data collection and analysis in the social sciences.
