About the Author
Award winning author of the Writer's Digest 80th Annual Competition - Children/YA category. for "Flight to Freedom," inspired by the adoption of a Vietnamese orphan in the 1970's. Also finalist in the Writer's Network of South Florida's contest, children's category for "A Dolphin's Tale." Kathy sold her first article when she was eight years old to the York Junior Dispatch, a publication in her community that encouraged children to write. Retiring to Florida, Kathy wanted to leave a legacy for her ten children, all the grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. "And Baby Makes 9" is a memoir of her life, through eight adoptions, sponsoring a family of nine Vietnamese, two birth children, fresh air children from New York City, and fostering numerous boys and girls throughout the years. Her first two novels for adults in the Mackenzie Scott Mysteries, "Blood Ties: The Souvenir Killer" and "Murder in the Caribbean," were released earlier this year in both paperback and e-book format. Current projects include the fourth book in the series, "Murder at the Zoo," and a True Crime novel in 2013.
