- H.R. Stoneback

Gathering a lifetime of published scholarship, Allen Josephs of the University of West Florida here presents an incisive and vital collection of essays focused on the life and work of our greatest English-language novelist. An authority on toreo as well as on Hemingway, Josephs pays special attention to how Spanish traditions, culture, sensibilities and spirituality impacted Hemingway's writing through the years, yet also delivers critical reviews and essays on a host of other important topics in Hemingway studies.
