About the Author
Peter Pennoyer heads Peter Pennoyer Architects, a 50-person firm of architects, interior designers, and related professionals based in Manhattan and with an office in Miami. Founded in 1990, PPA is recognized as a leader in new construction, renovation, and historic preservation for residential, commercial, and institutional commissions across the United States and abroad. Pennoyer lives in New York City and Millbrook, New York.
Architectural historian Anne Walker holds a master's degree in historic preservation from Columbia University and is the author of numerous books on historical and contemporary architecture and design, including Peter Pennoyer Architects: Apartments, Townhouses, Country Houses; A House in the Country; Life at the Top: New York's Most Exceptional Apartment Buildings; and Rowdy Meadow: House - Land - Art. She is an adjunct professor at New York University, where she teaches with Pennoyer. She lives in New Canaan, Connecticut.
