About the Author
Dr. Shindana Feagins, a native of Los Angeles, CA, graduated from the University of Southern California in 1992. Shortly after graduating, she taught middle school for the Los Angeles Unified School District for three years before realizing her true dream of becoming a physician. Her newfound passion prompted her to move from Los Angeles to Nashville to attend Meharry Medical College in 1996. While completing her degree, Dr. Feagins met her husband, Edwin Feagins, Sr., and they are now the proud parents of three children: Edwin, Jr., Sabria and Edgerin.
