About the Author
As a young man I really did not like poetry, but in 1985 my wife gave me a book of inspirational poetry and as I read some of those poems I gained an appreciation for the beauty of such poetry. In September of 2000 I had triple by-pass open heart surgery and though I had been a Christian since early childhood, that event gave me a new realization of the value of life and the mortality. It was shortly after that surgery that I wrote my first spiritual poem. The remainder of the poems were written over the next five years.
