About the Author
Debbie Cowan-Hackett has made a career of working with children and animals that the rest of the world had thrown away. As a certified animal communicator and a former caretaker at Mother Teresa's mission in India, Cowan-Hackett developed PBT by natural accident as she learned to work successfully with troubled kids. By blending her expertise in animal communication with human body language recognition and negative thought process redirection, she created a program that allows children to avoid punishment and corrections and to be positively conditioned to self-regulate their behavior. Russ Hudson, co-author, spent most of his childhood in the types of homes and institutions for troubled youth that Cowan-Hackett has worked in. A freelance writer and editor for more than a decade, Hudson is also a former professional horseman and martial arts instructor.
