About the Author
One of the first in the United States to make pumpkin and melon carving a profession, Hugh McMahon has been sculpting pumpkins and watermelons for over 40 years. Throughout his career, Hugh has carved for an impressive variety of clients including, IBM, Facebook, Whitney Museum, Plaza Hotel and the James Beard Foundation. He has appeared on local, national and international television including the Today Show, Good Morning America, Martha Stewart Living, David Letterman and Emeril. His carvings are published in Vogue, People, Time, Life and Mad Magazine. He is the coauthor of the children's book, "The Night of the Pumpkinheads" and creator and author of "Pumpkining, A Story of Pumpkin and Melon Carving," an insightful retrospective of his life's work.
