Pygmalion: A Play

Henry Higgins, a professor of phonetics, makes a bet that he can train a Cockney flower girl named Eliza Doolittle to pass for a duchess at an ambassador's garden party.

The play was adapted into My Fair Lady, as well as the movie Pygmalion. It remains popular for its comedy and its commentary on British social classes.
