Journalist Jere Hester lives in Brooklyn with his wife, Theresa Wozunk, and their teenage daughter, Ella. But in some ways, they're a family of seven. Raising a Beatle Baby traces how the couple connected as Beatles fans and made the Fab Four the soundtrack for a quixotic family life that's taken them to Hamburg, London and Liverpool. With a little help from her parents, Ella befriended the elderly woman who lives in Ringo's boyhood home. She got an answer from Yoko on why the Beatles broke up. And, at age 8, Ella met Paul - inspiring her burgeoning music career and teaching the family the value of following even the craziest of dreams. Raising a Beatle Baby is an often humorous and occasionally touching tale about bonding through pop culture. Whether you're a Beatlemaniac or a casual fan, you'll relate to this story about one eccentric family's musical mission to come together through John, Paul, George and Ringo. Every family, after all, is a magical mystery tour... "If Jere Hester were arriving at Kennedy Airport, I would wait on the runway wearing cat eye glasses and scream at a very high pitch. That's because he's a wonderful writer with a new book about family, music and the joys of mild obsession." - A.J. Jacobs, author of The Year of Living Biblically
