Revolutionary Agreements is a delightful, practical guide to living a positive life. The book reveals principles tens of thousands have used worldwide to create greater inner peace and fulfillment--whether dealing with the common challenges of marriage and parenthood, effectively managing high-performance work teams, or contributing to improved community and international relations.

In this second edition, the author includes stories from readers who share how their relationships--and lives--were transformed by practicing the Revolutionary Agreements. Also new is a twenty-page section of customized agreements developed by organizations to express and align their team members' values. Additionally, the woman described by Buckminster Fuller as the "best informed human now alive regarding futurism" offers a thought-provoking foreword.

The book opens with an invitation by the author to join her in a revolution to create a positive world by living a positive life. The twelve agreements she offers as tools to effect this revolution are simple, practical and profound, and are organized within three unifying principles: Truth (to be who I am); Acceptance (to accept others for who they are); and Gratitude (to appreciate the gift of this moment).

Easy-to-read chapters show how to apply the Agreements in any situation to reduce unwanted drama and increase inner peace. Each chapter puts its Agreement into larger perspective with "Words of Wisdom," selections of quotations ranging from ancient wisdom to modern insights, followed by a "Focus on Today" section of practical exercises designed to help the reader apply that Agreement immediately.

In the Foreword, Barbara Marx Hubbard writes: "Within the pages of this book are a rare combination of wisdom and practical guidance. For those who desire greater peace in their own lives and in the world, Revolutionary Agreements will be one of your most treasured guidebooks. This book will benefit you whether you are a leader on the front lines of cocreating a better world or you are someone focused on having the best day you can given the complexities of your life."

Former US Congressman Dennis J. Kucinich, 2003 recipient of the Gandhi Peace Award, writes, "Revolutionary Agreements is a thought-provoking and inspiring set of techniques to facilitate true peace in personal relationships . . . a great book."

Dr. TC North, executive coach and coauthor, Fearless Leaders, writes, "Revolutionary Agreements is an invaluable sourcebook for honest, fulfilling relationships in the workplace and beyond. An extraordinary guide for building high-performance cultures."

Reverend Judith Elia writes, "I have used the Agreements with CEOs, church committees, teachers, social workers, students, and government workers to build community and improve self-esteem. Revolutionary Agreements is a new manifesto for the coming of the Age of Peace, Love, and Compassion."

Given the thousands who've experienced Revolutionary Agreements since the first edition was published in 2005, the author writes in this second edition, "The power of practicing these conscious agreements is undeniable. By embodying these Agreements, we can create greater peace in our own lives and thus personally experience greater Peace on Earth now.

About the Author
Head, Marian: - Marian Head has been initiating peaceful revolutions in business, government, and education since the early 1970s. Her diverse experiences as an organizer, facilitator, entrepreneur, and leader began when she was the child-President of her 4-H Club and have traversed a variety of venues since, including: first Manager for Educational Development at the US Senate; top 100 sales leader for seven consecutive years at a global nutrition company; cochair of the first graduate school department of Leadership and Organizational Transformation; founder of Marlin Press and its "Professional Trainers' Collection"; program coordinator for historic Soviet-American Citizens' Summits in Washington, DC and Moscow; and co-facilitator of the first two Global Forums of Spiritual and Parliamentary Leaders in Oxford and Moscow. In 1985, alongside her husband, Glenn, Marian cofounded the Geneva Group, a network of businesspeople formed around a set of principles that subsequently evolved into the Revolutionary Agreements. Marian has devoted herself to introducing these principles into the lives and work of hundreds of thousands of people globally. She initiated the Agreements Institute to train and provide certification for coaches and facilitators who have a passion for spreading the benefits of conscious agreements to people all over the world. Marian's passion for the principles of authentic leadership and compassionate communication have led her to speak to audiences of thousands, consult with organizations ranging from small businesses to Fortune 100 corporations, serve on and chair national and international committees and boards for both profit and nonprofit organizations, and continually explore new ways to fulfill her passion to be of service to humanity. Marian is the award-winning author of "Revolutionary Agreements: Twelve Ways to Transform Stress and Struggle Into Freedom and Joy" (2005) and "Gratitude Journal for a Healthy Marriage" (2015). She coauthored with Barbara Marx Hubbard "The Suprasexual rEvolution: Toward the Birth of a Universal Humanity" (2012).Barbara, Marx Hubbard: - "In 1945 the United States dropped atomic bombs on Japan, and the world caught its breath. This pivotal event deeply impacted the young Barbara Marx Hubbard, who found herself asking President Eisenhower, "What is the meaning of our power that is good"? Barbara's 40+ year inquiry, and the answers she has found, offer invaluable assistance to us all at this time in our history. What she discovered and shares through her books, DVDs, and public talks is that despite the state of the world, we are truly on the threshold of great possibility, of our own conscious evolution. Buckminster Fuller said, "There is no doubt in my mind that Barbara Marx Hubbard - who helped introduce the concept of futurism to society - is the best informed human now alive regarding futurism and the foresights it has produced." Barbara Marx Hubbard has been called "the voice for conscious evolution..." by Deepak Chopra. She is the subject of Neale Donald Walsch's book "The Mother of Invention." And many would agree she is the global ambassador for conscious change. At her heart, Barbara Marx Hubbard is a visionary, a social innovator. She is an evolutionary thinker who believes that global change happens when we work collectively and selflessly for the greater good. She realizes that the lessons of evolution teach us that problems are evolutionary drivers, and crises precede transformation, giving a new way of seeing and responding to our global situation. As a prolific author and educator, Barbara has written eight books on social and planetary evolution. She has produced, hosted, and contributed to countless documentaries seen by millions of people around the world. In conjunction with the Shift Network, Barbara co-produced the worldwide "Birth 2012" multi-media event that was seen as a historic turning point in exposing the social, spiritual, scientific, and technological potential in humanity. In 1984 her name was placed in nomination for the Vice Presidency of the United States on the Democratic ticket, calling for a "Peace Room" to scan for, map, connect and communicate what is working in America and the world. She also co-chaired a number of Soviet-American Citizen Summits, introducing a new concept called "SYNCON" to foster synergistic convergence with opposing groups. In addition she co-founded the World Future Society, and the Association for Global New Thought. Barbara Marx Hubbard is not an idealist, nor does she believe that social and planetary change is simple. But she does believe that humanity has the tools, fortitude, and resolve to take the leap towards conscious evolution. Her books include: The Hunger of Eve: One Woman's Odyssey toward the Future; The Evolutionary Journey: Your Guide to a Positive Future; Revelation: Our Crisis is a Birth -An Evolutionary Interpretation of the New Testament; Conscious Evolution: Awakening the Power of our Social Potential; Emergence: The Shift from Ego to Essence; 52 Codes for Conscious Self Evolution and Birth 2012 and Beyond: Humanity's Great Shift to the Age of Conscious Evolution, and The Suprasexual Revolution."
