About the Author
Registered Dietitian and Certified Diabetes Educator Pam Whitfield has worked with truck drivers to help them fight the overweight epidemic. Her research on OTR drivers has been published in The Journal of the American Dietetic Association. She is a practicing clinical dietitian at a Level One trauma center hospital in the Chicago suburbs and teaches nutrition at the university level. Pam also uses her background as a multiple-Emmy Award-winning television documentary and sports producer to bring the message of healthy nutrition to a broader public. Don Jacobson provides marketing support for companies dealing with the freight and logistics industry. A writer and noted outdoor cook, Don is the author of four books including The One Pan Gourmet, The One Pan Gourmet Cooks Lite, and The One Pan Galley Gourmet. The couple hosts the popular "Roadcookin'" segment on Sirius Satellite Radio's Lockridge Report. They have two children and live in the Chicago area.
