A gang of teen-age bank robbers led by an older man embark on a series of bank robberies in and around the Philadelphia area. In the first robbery they shoot and kill a mafia capo who happened to be in the bank. FBI agent Ben Douglas teamed with philadelphia homicide detective are assigned to bring the gang to justice. In each robbery if there is a guard in the bank he is shot and killed. To complicate matters the boss of the Philadelphia mob puts out a contract on the gang. The case becomes a race to see who will get to the gang first, the mob or the law. Pressure on Douglas and his partner increases when the gang and the mob exchange violent attacks on each other. The trail of violence leads from the row hof South Philadelphia to the jersey shore and back. Major resources of the FBI and the Philadelphia police are committed to bring and end to the growing tide of violence.

About the Author
The author is a native of Cincinnati, Ohio and a graduate of the University of Cincinnati. He spent forty years in the FBI, serving in many capacities including seven years on the Philadelphia bank robbery squad. He later served as special agent in charge of the El Paso, Texas field office and completed his career as agent in charge in San Juan responsible for Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands. The author was awarded the FBI Medal of Valor for action against and armed and dangerous fugitive. In retirement he became active in the El Paso Writers League and won a number of awards in the league's yearly professionally judged contests. He is married to an artist-educator and they have two children and four grandchildren.
