About the Author
A. J. Boyle is Professor of Classics at the University of Southern California, Los Angeles, and editor of the classical literary journal, Ramus. His previous publications include: The Eclogues of Virgil, Seneca Tragicus, The Chaonian Dove, Seneca's Phaedra, The Imperial Muse, Roman Epic, Seneca's Troades, Roman Literature and Ideology, Tragic Seneca, Ovid and the Monuments.
