The story of the Lutheran influence on the Reformation in England and Scotland, told through the lives of some of the main characters. Roy Long sketches the life stories, teachings and influence of some of the famous players in the history of the Reformation in Britain - such as Henry VIII and his wives, and the five Thomases: Becket, Wolsey, More, Cromwell and Cranmer - as well as several less famous ones. An accessible yet learned overview for anyone interested in this complex period of church, told from a Lutheran angle.
