Seeded and Sodded: Thoughts from a Gardening Life
Seeded and Sodded: Thoughts from a Gardening Life
Awarded first place in the category of Non-Fiction Books for Adult Readers, Humor from the National Federation of Press Women, 2020.
Award-winning author Carol Michel presents "Seeded and Sodded," her third book in a trifecta of clever gardening essay collections served up with a trowelful of wit and good humor. In between weeding and hoeing, Michel picked up her pen to divulge her honest thoughts on topics like "How to Make Your Garden a Humongous Success," "The Mystery of Plastic Pots," and "Helicopter Gardening," define new words like "Plantovert" and "Hortotropism," and introduce the world to the likes of Sweet Charlene Chipmunk, Purple Leaf, and the Old Woman at the Door. Both beginning and seasoned gardeners will savor these memorable musings, presented in short bites that are easy to enjoy whilst planting, pruning, and watering. Join Michel for a good thyme as she slips on her gardening clogs, ties on her wide-brimmed hat, and tills it like it is.
