About the Author
Basil Papanastassiou is a therapist and self-taught quilter. He designs and makes quilts, presents his quilts at various quilt guilds, and teaches quilting. This is his first book (and depending on how well it is received, he will be writing others). He recently completed a two-year stint working part-time at a quilt store which gave him an invaluable knowledge of fabric, design, and the needs of quilters for new, innovative, and easy to sew quilt patterns (as well as giving him first crack at all the new fabric that came into the store). One of his philosophies is "so much fabric, so little time"... as is "when you see the fabric and you love it, buy it, because in many cases when you go back for it, it's gone". He lives with his partner Burt in South Florida.
