About the Author
Secrest, Freya: - "Freya Secrest, MSD, is a Spiritual Director, priest and adult educator. The essence of her work is to affirm the sacredness inherent in all life and discover a relationship to that spiritual essence within ourselves and the world around. After living in the Findhorn Foundation community, a holistic and spiritual educational center in Northern Scotland in the early 1970's she began teaching with Dorothy Maclean, one of Findhorn's founders. She traveled the US and Canada offering workshops on themes of collaboration with nature. She was ordained a priest in 1982 and earned her Master's in Spiritual Direction in 2009. She has worked as a Waldorf School administrator at both K-8 and high school levels. She currently teaches programs in Incarnational Spirituality on themes such as Showing Up to OurSelves, Manifestation and Working with Subtle Energies. She continues to collaborate in programs with colleagues at the Findhorn Foundation, exploring new approaches to spirituality, sustainability and partnership with all earth's ecologies, both physical and subtle. Freya helped to found the Lorian Association in 1974 and has been an associate for the last 47 years. She served as Lorian's Executive Director from 2010 - 2016 and now works as Director of Education. She currently lives in Northern Michigan with her husband and colleague, Jeremy Berg near her family of children, grandchildren, and close friends."Ziegler, Lyra: - Lyra Ziegler, BFA is a graduate of Cornish College of Art and Design and now works as a visual designer with specializations in branding and identity. With clients in Washington, D.C., San Francisco, Seattle and Amsterdam, she travels extensively developing her eye for beauty through pattern, shape, color, light, proportion and focus.
